Sunday 9th may was another great day at the throwing ranges.
The weather was just perfect for throwing. Not too warm but pleasant.
We were joined by 3 new throwers, again. Welcome Rob, Mikey and Tong. Apparently Mikey ( Rob’s son ) never stopped talking all the way back to Shropshire about what a fantastic day he had.
Our other new thrower, Tong, is one of the most naturally gifted throwers I have ever seen. Within a couple of hours he was consistently sticking 2 spin knives about 18′ fromthe targets.
In the afternoon we all enjoyed the fun of Mountain Man throwing using one knife and one tomahawk and throwing at playing cards. One of our regulars, Ken, pulled off, in one throw a perect score where he stuck the knife straight into the card. Well done, Ken. Good memory eh ?
Above are just a few photos of some of the aspects of our throwing Club. Come along and try it. Rest assured of a good day out.
Plans are afoot to move a couple of the throwing lanes on the new range to an area we should be clearing soon, behind the first Mountain Man target. This should give us a lot more room to throw and socialise in.
The next throwing days are on Sundays
23rd May 2010
6th June 2010
20th June 2010
at the Paintball Commando Site, Brotherton, Pontefract, West Yorkshire WF11 9LZ, weather permitting.
Please call me (John) on 07764602876 if you think the day may be cancelled due to bad weather.
The charge is only £10 per day.
The days starts at 9.30am until about 5.00pm ish.
It should be noted that a disclaimer has to be signed before throwing and everyone must accept that they throw, and use the facilities, at their own risk.
“A” marks the spot where we have a load of fun.
If you are thinking of coming along please advise us by commenting below and we will get back to you with any pertinent information you ask for or contact John on the phone number above.
