Since 2006 when I returned from my first tournament in the US, I had wanted to organise a throwing tournament in the UK. This dream came true last weekend on Sunday 1st August 2010 (Yorkshire Day).
19 of us met and throwing took place from half spin for knives, about 8′, back to about 20′ for knives and tomahawks. One of the other things that were thrown is a small version of the double headed axe. I call it the Flying Angel. They are just so much fun to throw. Long distance throwing also took place for the knives, tomahawks and Flying Angel.

Everyone had a great day and this was made even better by having such good weather to throw in.

After the prizegiving for first to third places for about 14 events (Rich took quite a few first places!) we held a Speshul Ed Anything Throw. This was inspired by what we saw in New Jersey and our version included having to stick screwdrivers, a wheel brace, hedge trimmers, wallpaper scraper, crowbar and a pair of pliers. This throw ended off a very fun and enjoyable day.
